Payson, Arizona is seriously one of the most beautiful little cities I think Arizona has to offer. I mean, there are a TON of adorable and quaint towns in this amazing state, but Payson is just very special. When we were asked if we deliver to Payson, the answer was an obvious YES on our end.
Starting to blog more, I knew that I wanted to include our bride & grooms in the process. So, moving on to our first ‘real wedding’ post on the Tremaine Ranch Blog. I sent Kati a few questions in hopes she would be up for sending me some honest answer and allowing us to post her wedding on our blog. Thankfully, she said yes and gave me some great material to post. Enjoy!!
I asked Kati for a description of how she would describe her wedding, the process of putting everything together and some of their favorite memories from their big day?
“To us, our wedding was just a huge hangout with all of our favorite people while we celebrated our relationship. Aaron and I are both huge introverts and we wanted our personalities to shine through in our wedding without making everyone watch netflix and refrain from conversing! We had the ceremony on quilts instead of chairs to kind of bring an intimate feel to the wedding. We had pizza for dinner because that is our favorite food and we felt like it was fun and different and casual. We wanted to include our son, Oliver as much as possible because he is a huge part of our relationship and so the wedding was child- friendly.
“In preparation for the wedding, my mom and I put a huge amount of effort into hand-making all of the decor. My dad and his neighbor made our gorgeous ceremony backdrop that brought a really neat bohemian feel. We worked mostly with vendors we already knew and were friends with which was really amazing. And the few people we didn’t already know (like you guys and saffron jak!) turned out to be so amazing and felt like friends by the end. Our friends and family stayed up late having fun by the fire/partying into the wee hours of the morning even after Aaron and I went back to the hotel.”
“I asked Aaron his favorite memory and this is what he said-
‘Watching Kati come down the aisle with our son Oliver to “Beautiful in White” and they got halfway down the aisle and the lyrics “you’re my every reason, you’re all that I believe in” played.’ “
“These are my favorite memories down from the day:
1. When it was time to walk down the aisle, Oliver was supposed to walk down the aisle as the ring bearer with my youngest brother, Ernie. When the time came, Oliver absolutely refused, wanting to stay with me and my dad. Ernie (who is 20 years old) assumed the duty as ring bearer and I could hear all of our guests laughing from inside the cabin where I was waiting.
2. Aaron and I wrote our own vows but didn’t share them with each other before the wedding. There was this one really defining night we had when we first started hanging out and we both spoke about it in the same way in our vows. I could only laugh through my tears when he got to that part in his vows.
3. As we were heading toward the reception to meet our guests after we took pictures post ceremony, we were just laughing together and the theme song to our favorite show, Parenthood, came on. It felt so special and I just knew that was a moment I would feel nostalgic for forever.”
Congratulations Kati & Aaron; we are so happy for you!!
